The Secret Series continues in this dangerous and daring fourth adventure.
Cass finds herself alone and disoriented, a stranger in a dream-like, medieval world. Where is she? Who is she? With the help of a long-lost relative, she begins to uncover clues and secrets—piecing together her family's history as she fights her way back to the present world.
Meanwhile, back home, Cass is at the hospital in a deep coma. Max-Ernest knows she ate Time Travel Chocolate—and he's determined to find a cure. Can our expert hypochondriac diagnose Cass's condition before it's too late? And will he have what it takes to save the survivalist?

A secret society, time-travel chocolate, and the quest for immortality are part of the puzzle to be solved by three unlikely friends. Cass is in an apparent coma in a hospital, but in reality she has eaten the time-travel chocolate and is elsewhere putting together the pieces of her family history. Max-Ernest and Yo-Yogi are trying to find a way to bring her back. A typical Bosch adventure ensues. The ensemble cast expertly brings this story to life, and Joshua Swanson is superb as the first-person narrator. His delivery quickly pulls listeners into the story as if compatriots on a journey. Adventure number four finds Cass wandering through a medieval world after eating Time Travel Chocolate, while Max-Ernest desperately searches for an antidote to return her to the present. The book's blend of mystery, fantasy, puzzles, puns, and a puckish, sometimes snarky sense of humor will keep readers engaged and eager for the next installment. Playful illustrations open each chapter.
